White Paper: CAA’s Competency Framework The Knowledge, Skills and Behavioral Approach
The CAA Competency Framework (the Framework) is a tool that defines the competencies needed to meet the requirements of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) Best Practices for the success of any organisation in dealing with Competent employees.
A Competency is defined in ISO 9000 as:
- The ability to implement knowledge and skills to achieve the intended result” (ISO 9000, Clause 3.10.4 and 10015 Clause 3.2)
A competency is the ability of an individual to perform a job or task properly, being a set of defined knowledge, skills and behaviour. The Framework provides a structured guide, enabling the identification, evaluation and development of those competencies which needs to be present in individual conducting their objective driven work in any entity.
